On 20 November, the 20th anniversery of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child, children all around revealed the name of their Decade hero.

The stories of the candidates and the children they fight for are taken from the year the candidate received their award. So, the children are older today than they were in the stories.

Since 2000, 14 prize laureates have been awarded the World’s Children’s Honorary Award for their amazing efforts to protect children’s rights. These people were not included in the vote for WCPRC Decade Child Rights Hero 2009.
